Each year travelers are drawn to Jerusalem based on their interest in or devotion to a book that for centuries has been considered holy, the Bible. In that thousands of years old city, these travelers will also find the only museum on the planet that’s dedicated to Biblical history and that of the Ancient Near East. The Bible Lands Museum is largely the work of its founder, Dr. Elie Borowski, a man who over fifty years assembled art work that draws from the earliest civilizations in the area to the Early Christian era in the lands of the Bible.

The collections are displayed chronologically, allowing visitors to literally walk through history, tracing the development of religious belief, of worship, then trade, commerce and communication. It also tracks the beginning of cities up through the Talmudic period.

In over twenty galleries, visitors will find artifacts representing events and civilizations found in the Bible, revealing the various traditions, rituals and cultures through ancient mosaics, jewelry, seals, stone and terra cotta sculptures. Examples of ancient cultures of Egypt, Assyria, Babylon and Sumer are presented. Thousands of pieces will reveal the world of the Phoenicians, the Hittites, and the Greek and Roman civilizations, as well as Canaan, Judea and Israel. The artifacts in the museum reveal the history of the early world, from its urban beginnings in the 4th millenium B.C.E. in Mesopotamia to Roman and Coptic Egypt.

After checking into Jerusalem hotels , any visitor to this astonishing city may orient him or herself through the thousands of years of antiquity by taking a walk first through these galleries, and gaining a perspective on one of humanity’s fascinating spiritual journeys.

And this can only possible in a city like Boston that is so dynamic and incredibly progressive in contemporary entertainment and other social attraction aspects and also so completely important historically, both symbolically and literally. Boston is one of the great American cities and its residents love their hometown as much, or more so, as what the outsiders are fascinated by it.

Dallas is a terrific place, with a big city atmosphere, and some delightful local touches that remind people that this is the south. Hospitality is a tradition here, and one that is fiercely protected. One can find many splendid tastes of southern and cosmopolitan charm at any of the five star hotels Dallas boasts, and it’s evident in nearly every aspect of city life here. There’s even charm in the local biker community, and one of the biggest events is an ample demonstration of the taste and style of the local population.

Called the Rockers vs. Mods Rally , this is where old school scooter enthusiasts get to meet, and talk about life on two wheels. There are hundreds of classic bikes here, with the usual suspects like Vespas and Piaggios on the moped side, and BSAs and Triumphs on the motorcycle side. It’s not the usual bikers, but ones who are devoted to bikes from a classic time. The mods and rockers are terms that refer to two subcultures based in London in the early 1960s. On the dole, the angry young men and women were following on the trails of the Beats and looking for something interesting to do with their lives and their energies.

There’s worse things one can do than fall in love with the wheels and the road, and Dallas, with its beautiful weather all year round, is the perfect place to test the romance and see if there’s traction.

Some people are natural born leaders. They are completely comfortable taking charge of a situation and seeing it through to completion. For others, leadership requires more work and training. On the same token, there are bad leaders and good leaders. Bad leaders don’t focus on the team aspect, only getting the job done their way; while good leaders know how to rally the team and get the job done in a way that leaves everyone pleased with the process and the end result.

We have all worked under or had experiences with bad leaders and could probably make a list pages long with all of their characteristics; however lets focus on the positive. What is it that makes a leader effective?
One of the key characteristics of a good leader is effective communication . Being able to communicate what needs to be done, delegate the tasks, and see each aspect through to completion is an important part of being a leader. It is also vital that the leader listens to other members of the team. Everyone has a different perspective that could lend valuable insight into the project; cutting down on time, energy, and price.

Leadership development is not something that happens overnight. It takes time, practice and experience to learn all of the characteristics of an effective leader. But by staying open to constructive criticism and taking insight from others, you are already well on your way.

Start buying your tickets now for next year’s San Diego ComicCon this event is the place to be if you’re a fan of any genre. This Convention is one of the biggest events in the united states for both the geek community and the movie and comic industries. Often the event is completely sold out just a few months after the convention so don’t wait until next year to purchase your ticket. Be sure to book your room with a five star hotel San Diego offers and call your hotel ahead of time to see if it offers shuttles to the convention.

Convention goers at Comicon frequently get an inside view at the upcoming movies for the next year and find out first what movies are in production . Often studios and production companies will bank the next year’s summer releases on how well the concepts, stars, and trailers are received by the fandom community. This isn’t a bad idea but can frequently have conflicting results. While Avatar wasn’t expected to become the blockbuster hit it became Jonah Hex was actually a disappointment when its first week’s numbers came in.

Though this convention is, obviously, geared at the comic reading demographic and has actually given some movies the burst of speed they needed to move from cult classic potential to blockbuster ComicCon receptions aren’t a guarantee and the best marketing ploy proven so far is for movies to be released soon after it. Unfortunately, the convention is at the tail end of summer blockbuster season so usually the movies hyped up at it will have the buzz wear off before their release the next summer.

This year attendees will soon be tweeting us their opinions of the trailers the major studios like Warner Brothers, DreamWorks , and Lionsgate are planning for the year to come. Lionsgate is hoping to wow us with a all-star action movie called “The Expendables” which boasts six major action stars on its bill including Arnold Schwarzenegger, current governor of California. Warner is pandering hard to the fans this year with new information on “Green Lantern”, which is expected to star Ryan Reynolds , and the next installment of the Harry Potter franchise “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”. The movie expected to pull the biggest return off this year’s convention will be Tron 2, you can be sure Disney will be there in full force promoting its sequel to the movie the have the largest cult following for.
