If you send your best managers to management training and there’s no support for them to utilize their new skill-sets when they return, then both the company’s time and money was wasted. Following up from a training program is not sufficient either. If managers are not made accountable for the skills they learn, if they aren’t supported through the learning process post-training, it will be easy to revert to the old ways of doing business.
In order to make what they learned in the Management Training Program stick, a company must foster a learning culture. This value of continued learning needs to come from the top levels. Employees should expect to apply what they learned and then receive positive recognition. Learning must be an ongoing activity for any organization to thrive in today’s business market.
Managers should be sent to training programs designed for real needs, on-the-job issues that arise on a daily basis. Corporate team building programs should also be attended by managers for training to be relevant, engaging and timely. Hands-on activities should be included in the training program, which will help them learn through trial and error.
Companies need to develop action plans focused on how managers will use their newly found skills once they get back from training. One way to do this is have the managers themselves develop their own action plan based on the training they received. Support for managers back on the job will ensure they apply the training they just received.

One of the continually growing industries that remains strong and productive regardless of economic conditions is the video game and software field. In fact, in times of greater economic difficulties and major stress video games actually increase in popularity and use. In part this is due to their escape aspects and also they are just plain fun and sometimes even challenging and educational. However, it is fantasy and virtual life aspects that tend to attract most players. With that in mind, there are numerous game genres and while there are multiple cross over fans and players, the variety of games available attract diverse populations of players.
You can buy software for any number of thematic games and as they continue to increase in popularity they also increase in technological advancement . And for non gamers who wonder how people can continue to buy the seemingly same games year after year, it is a non brainer for those who actually play them. Even games in series have ongoing interests and if a player loves a particular game they will look forward to new versions and editions.
In addition, adaptations on or spin offs of popular games are also increasing in availability. One thing remains consistent however and that is while most game enthusiasts will try almost any new game that is presented to them, they form an obsession with a select few. And these games always have a sense of suspense and elements of the unexpected. They must also present some form of challenge.

There’s something rather charming about a band whose name is unpronounceable. This isn’t about the usual cliches in music, where the name is made strange so that only the insiders have the edge because they’ve been to the right neighborhoods in Stockholm. In a name like Tonstartssbandht there’s evidence of artiness, but there’s an equal sense that these guys also like to laugh at themselves. Andy and Edwin White, the Orlando-born duo who make up the band, have been splitting their time between Montreal and New York these days. It’s not to say they’ve left their roots, not at all.
Coming from the music scene here, the ones who continue have learned how to make their skin thick. It’s a challenge to lure people to gigs from the lovely evenings planned in the resort hotels Florida offers. Even the weekend music-lovers usually pick the clubs over anything live, but their work managed to prove that there was something happening in the city. It gave locals and visitors a reason to head back to the live music venues. Today, their sound is distinctive, moving from psych trance and into low-fi , and back again. Vocal harmonies are strong and at the center, while the fragments of sound take apart the senses in order to reach a space only live music understands.

It’s one of the more fantastic cities in the world. It’s certainly among the largest, and most densely populated. With the amazing mix of cultures and people, Manila can be simultaneously stimulating and refreshing. Just like halo-halo, the famous dessert made of ice, milk, bean, and other delicious ingredients. Those coming to visit Manila hotels and wondering what they’ll be seeing in terms of local culture, there’s no clear answer. There’s simply too much happening at any given time to predict what Manila will be like this particular evening, and that’s one of the most exciting parts of it.
In terms of culture, there’s pretty much anything anyone could imagine. For live theatre, it’s a great place to discover that the global is the local, and vice versa. Dennis Gupta , professor and director, is working ahead of the trend, and putting food and epic theatre together in new ways that invigorate the art form. His company, Tanghalan Cocina 1921 has used halo-halo as the center of a performance piece that speaks to a very specific cultural practice. Here the dessert is used as a wedge to open up notions of food and meaning in the everyday practice of identity. It’s always unfolding, and at the center, always sweet.

Water is an element that has the potential to unify any garden. It’s one of the greatest and most versatile features in any kind of decoration, but in gardens, it can be particularly effective. A garden fountain can add a touch of impeccable grace to any landscape design. Because the relationship between water and greenery is so very closely linked, a fountain can serve as a reminder of the relationship with water. It also has a strong association with relaxation, calmness, and even the unconscious, adding some remarkably reflective qualities. It also relates directly to the origins of the garden itself.
The earliest gardens on the planet had elements of water running through them, because they were in fact the products of the relationship between the land and water. Where the Nile River gave life to the entire civilization in its valley, the landscape was cultivated and organized to benefit from the way this river would rise and fall. This direct relationship is one that may be lost in contemporary gardening, but it’s not a broken one. Every time people see the element of water represented in the modern garden, there is the reminder that the balance of life depends on it, and the graceful feeling that water can bring is a wonderful benefit of this balance.
